INTERNATIONAL CONSULTING SERVICES

The Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers (TIIAME) has received a grant from Academic Innovation Fund under the World Bank-financed Modernizing Higher Education Project toward the cost of the “Enhancement of agricultural engineering programs by using innovative techniques employed in foreign universities”, and intends to apply part of the proceeds for international consultant services.

The services include providing weeklong (Monday-Friday) training for faculty and graduate students of Agricultural Mechanization facultet (3 teaching hours per day for 16-20 trainees) on following new course of undergraduate major “Agricultural Mechanization”:

    • Hydraulic Power Principles and Applications including topics on fluid power principles, components, schematics, and systems, using Automation Studio software, proper use, maintenance, and applications of hydraulic power in off road and agricultural machinery.

Courses should be taught during week inside July 5 – August 14, 2021.

The TIIAME now invites eligible international consultants to indicate their interest in providing the services. Activities expected by the Consultant will include but not be limited to the following:

    • Preparation syllabus of the course and presentation materials
    • Travel to Uzbekistan/TIIAME for 1 week to delivery training
    • Provide advice to project team on the course after end of training

Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the service (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills, etc.). Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications.

A consultant will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers (current edition).
