A trip to beautiful and ancient Samarkand.
Under the guidance of E. Toshmatov, senior lecturer of the Department of Theoretical and Structural Mechanics, a group of students visited Samarkand. The ancient and eternally young city of Samarkand is distinguished by its historical monuments. Students visited Registan square, Guri Amir Mausoleum and Shahi Zinda complex and observed famous architectural monuments.
Many tourists visiting Samarkand recognize Guri Amir Mausoleum as a world famous and unique masterpiece of Central Asian architecture. The Shahi Zinda complex is located in the southern part of Samarkand and is one of the shrines of the Eastern Muslims. The unique buildings of Sherdor Madrasah and Tillya-Kari Madrasah on Registan Square add to the beauty of the city. These and many other buildings have taken their rightful place in the history of unique masterpieces of world architecture.
