Visiting “Bakhmal fruit growing” farm

Bakhmal (Velvet) apples today have already managed to find their buyers not only in our republic, but also all over the world. However, the problem of water scarcity observed in the district in recent years has its negative impact on the efficiency of apple orchards and the income of the population of the district. This in itself is a reason for an even greater demand for modern irrigation methods. Students of group 307 of the educational direction "innovative technologies and their use in water management" of the Faculty of Hydromelioration Azizbek Khasanov and Jahongir Mukhtarov and their coach Sanobar Dustnazarova visited the farm "Bakhmal fruit growing", which organized apple and cherry orchards on the area of 57 ha in Bakhmal district.

The gardens at this farm site have completely switched to modern irrigation methods over the years. The most remarkable is that in the academic year 2020-2021, when due to the pandemic coronavirus classes were switched to online mode, a talented student of the group "innovation" Jahongir Mukhtarov simultaneously with mastering online lessons was actively involved in the process of installation and operation of drip irrigation system in the farm "Bakhmal fruit growing". The chairman of the farm Kenjaboi Orzikulov noted that the design and operation of drip irrigation system is in need of local specialists and is ready to create all conditions for the organization of industrial practice in the farm just for the students of "innovation" group.

Kenjaboi Orzikulov also expressed his gratitude to Jahongir Mukhtorov, who, despite his young age, does not spare the theoretical knowledge and practical help from farm workers, as well as the management and the faculty of the Institute, who teach this to students.
