April 8, 2021 students of the Faculty of Land Management visited a traveling exhibition of the Republican Museum of Olympic Glory and the State Museum of Nature of Uzbekistan. The Museum of Olympic Glory was established by the Decree № 284 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan on August 14, 1996. The opening ceremony of the museum was held on September 1, 1996 with the participation of the first President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov and the President of the International Olympic Committee Juan Antonio Samaranch.
The museum collection includes: rare Olympic medals, commemorative cups, pennants and torches, a limited collection of themed stamps, precious coins, works of art on sports themes, sports equipment, sportswear and special Olympic uniforms, printed sports products, other special signs and souvenirs
The Museum of Olympic Glory of Uzbekistan plays an important role in promoting the values of Olympism and the principles of "fair play", in informing the general public about the outstanding achievements of Uzbek athletes and the history of the development of Olympism in Uzbekistan. To this end, the Museum regularly organizes exhibitions and thematic expositions illustrating the victories of Uzbek athletes at the Olympic Games and other major international competitions.
