Travel in memory of the father of the people

Students of group 104 led by Pulatova M.M, the curator visited Islam Karimov Museum. The full name of this Tashkent museum is: Museum of the Scientific and Educational Memorial Complex named after the First President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Until more recent times, it was one of the most inaccessible buildings to ordinary people. It is located on the Afrosiob Street in Tashkent and is better known under the name "Oksaroy Residence". The museum entrusted with the task to perpetuate the memory of Islam Karimov, was established in 2017. The choice of the location for the organization of the museum is not accidental. The Oqsaroy Palace (translated as the White Palace) served as his working residence during Karimov's lifetime. The 5,460 square meter luxury palace became a memorial to the authoritarian leader who ruled Uzbekistan for 27 years, first as First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Uzbek SSR, and from 1991 to 2016 - as the first president of independent Uzbekistan. The organization of Islam Karimov Museum was launched after the adoption of the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated April 25, 2017. In addition to the museum, the structure of the memorial complex includes: a scientific and educational center, a library with a reading room and a conference room. The museum complex in the Oksaroy residence was created with the support of the Republican Charitable Foundation named after Islam Karimov, which is headed by his wife Tatyana Karimova and daughter Lola Karimova-Tillyaeva. Currently, the exposition is located in two halls of the residence. One of the halls is reserved for photographs from Karimov's personal archive, the second contains an art collection. Here are displayed paintings on which artists captured the president at different periods of his life. It is of interest to note that, Islam Karimov never posed for artists, they painted his portraits from photographs. There are paintings in the exposition where the first president speaks at the UN, communicates with children, reads a prayer with the elders. http://tiiame.uz//storage/web/source/1/EWiPv2Gwvl6HMNHd-vFhaPT2xIcu_2uR.jpg Visiting this museum, our group got acquainted with the life and activities of the outstanding personality of the first President Islam Karimov, looking at the pictures and all the exhibits and standing at this presidential residence, we were once again convinced that this outstanding person loved his people very much and did everything possible for them. We are proud that we are the descendants of this unique person and we are grateful for everything he has done.
