Students of TIIAME "International House - Tashkent" academic lyceum won prestigious grants in the United States
Despite all the trials given to man, it is necessary to overcome them and strive to reach new heights. The first-year students of the International House-Tashkent Academic Lyceum TIIAME became a shining example for young people. All three of our young people, regardless of their age, are girls with great goals, proud of their families and an example to their peers. With the support of the Embassy of the United States of America in Uzbekistan, the students became honorary winners of the USA Education Academy and TechGirls migrant programs, which fully cover their living, meals and flight expenses. Among the more than 1,000 participants in the competition, the best were:
- Farangiz Sultanbaeva ;
- Nadezhda Stekolnikova ;
- Rayxona Nasimova .
Due to their knowledge of various scientific disciplines, the participants were able to prove their knowledge potential in writing an essay, where they were faced with the task of telling about their achievements as well as demonstrating very good grades. In addition, the girls had an excellent interview with the examination board and psychologists. As a multi-faceted individual, when applying for participation, students were able to make their dreams come true and achieve some of their goals, in particular, charitable foundations, activities at the training center, and other important accomplishments. Each of the winners proved in their own example that they should strive for their goals and constantly improve themselves.
2020 has been declared the Year of Science, Education and the Development of the Digital Economy. In this regard, the number of ICT-related projects is growing rapidly. The projects aimed at developing girls' critical thinking skills, interest in technical fields, as well as increasing their share in technical professions are noteworthy. The knowledge gained will help girls to adapt to society, to take a worthy place in a competitive labor market. Today, the topic of capacity building for girls and women is becoming increasingly relevant and is being considered internationally. An example of this is the GWFD 2020 (Global Women's Forum Dubai) in Dubai. Saida Mirziyoeva, Deputy Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the Public Fund for Support and Development of National Media, was a member of the Gender Equality Commission of Uzbekistan and said that "Uzbek women have something to say to the world, they can make a significant contribution to economic and cultural life" expressed confidence.
Thus, young girls who are supported and inspired by such wonderful individuals are ready for new achievements. For the International House-Tashkent Academic Lyceum, this event is a continuation of the success of the last academic year, at which Ikhtiyarova Vazira also received a grant. The girls, who were deemed worthy by the decision of the U.S. Academy of Education and are among those who have access to American universities and are able to use their knowledge wisely, are ready to make every effort to improve international education relations.
