Our institute has entered the ranking of the best universities in the world

For the first time in the history of independent Uzbekistan, the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers was included in the ranking of the best universities in Eastern Europe and Central Asia in 2020.

 

This is the result of two years of cooperation of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan with leading international organizations such as Times Higher Education and QS in order to increase the international authority of higher educational institutions of the republic.

The Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers ranked among the best universities in Eastern Europe and Central Asia, ranking 301–350 in the QS ranking, receiving positive marks on indicators: academic reputation, reputation among employers, and scientific potential.

(For reference: Indicators for calculating the positions of universities in the QS rating: scientific research (20% of the total score), academic reputation - 30% (the level of scientific research conducted by the university plays an important role in recognition), reputation among employers (20%), educational process - 15%, other indicators - 15%).

Moscow State University MV Lomonosov took 1st place, St. Petersburg State University - 2nd place. The ranking includes leading universities in Russia, the Czech Republic, Turkey, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Slovenia, Croatia, Belarus and Bulgaria.

Currently, the Ministry of Higher Education is working with international experts on the preparation of other leading universities in the country for gradual inclusion in international rankings.

Foreign experts selected 10 universities of the republic (NUUz, TIIIMSH, TSTU, TUIT, SamSU, Ural State University, TMA, TashFarmI, Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent, KKSU), their profiles were created in the Times Higher Education and QS databases. Experts work closely with these 10 universities.
