Gender equality is largess

The Constitution consolidates and guarantees the rights. However, it is always necessary to describe in detail the system of their implementation and protection mechanisms in the laws. In this sense, the Law on Gender Equality is designed to ensure gender equality and opportunities, and to regulate social relations in this regard. The law temporarily introduces a quota system for same-sex employees to implement gender policy in the civil service. That is, in each state enterprise and organization, temporary gender quotas are set until the balance of representation of women and men is ensured. Once a balance is reached, quotas can be cancelled.

 At the Faculty of Hydromelioration of the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers was organized a discussion on topic "What is gender equality?". R.Rakhmonov, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Criminology of the Academy of Internal Affairs, Z. Khaydarov, Head of the Department of Youth and Spirituality and Enlightenment, Z. Ismailova, Chairwoman of the Institute, Z.Beknazarova, chairwoman of the faculty, M.Muhammedova, psychologist of the institute leader of the youth union of the faculty A.Hamidov and deputy deans, students took part in the roundtable.

The Gender Equality Law provides a framework for enhancing the role of women in the political sphere. The image of a "progressive woman" is growing in our society today. Giving women opportunities and empowerment and activating them will make society more compassionate, humane and enlightened. Today, the employment of women is one of the priorities of socio-economic development, an important condition for improving the living standards and quality of life.
