Memory is eternal, value is sacred

On May 6, 2021 members of the rectorate of our institute made a tour of the "Victory Park" located in one of the picturesque corners of the capital, and the Museum of Glory which is a part of it. The park was founded on the initiative of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to highlight the dignified contribution of the multinational people of Uzbekistan who showed courage and bravery, resilience and humanism during the Second World War to securing the Great Victory over fascism, to immortalize the memory of World War II participants and our compatriots who selflessly worked on the home front, and to record their invaluable bravery and resilience in the pages of history, launched in October 2020 with the aim of educating the younger generation in the spirit of love and devotion to the Motherland.

The memorial complex "Victory Park" includes the State Museum of Glory, monuments "eternal valor" and "hymn of valor", historical and artistic expositions. Entering through the gates of the complex made us feel like we were in those same times. Looking around, on one side there are World War II tanks and cannons, on the other side exhibits of small civil planes and fighter planes. As you enter the center of the complex you can see different exhibitions reflecting the battles, dug trenches, temporary houses of soldiers where clothes and food were kept during the war, the building of the Tashkent railway station at that time, From the side of the territory of mourning and sorrow, you can clearly see the Monument with sculptures of Zulfiya aya Zakirova and her bride, eagerly awaiting the return from the war of her five sons-bombers, as well as the "Shon Sharaf" museum, monuments "eternal valor" and "hymn to maternity".

The guide who accompanied us spoke in detail about the history of each exhibit located in the "Victory Park" memorial complex. At the same time, the information he provided at the "Glory" museum sparked a warm imagination of the rectorate members. According to his data, during the Second World War the population of Uzbekistan was 6.5 million people, so the sending of almost a quarter-1432230 people to the front, of which about 500 thousand of our compatriots were killed at the front, about 200 thousand were missing and more than 450 thousand returned disabled to Uzbekistan, is certainly a great loss for our nation.

Also in the complex there is a cafe, built-in places for recreation. Throughout the complex planted a variety of landscape flowers and trees. There are rides and swings for children. Also was built amphitheater for 1000 seats, where events of national importance were held. Today's visit to the "Victory Park" memorial complex was full of vivid impressions. Our visit was also photographed to capture the history of our institute.
