A group of TIIAME activists returned from a trip to Moynak.

As previously reported, a group of activists from the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers went to the Republic of Karakalpakstan, in order to participate at the final stage of the environmental charity cycling marathon "Support to Moynak", organized by the regional administrations, the Ecological Party of Uzbekistan and a number of other organizations. In addition, to take part at the upcoming international conference  "World Environment Day on June 5th. During the trip, the participants visited Moynak region on June 4 to meet the participants of the environmental charity cycling marathon "Support to Moynak".

Another noteworthy aspect of these events is the adoption of a special resolution on the declaration of the Aral Sea area as an ecological innovation and technology zone at the plenary session of the 75th session of the UN General Assembly at the suggestion of the President. The participants took part in an international youth conference on "the Aral Sea, Innovation, Youth and Cooperation", and exchanged experiences with a number of foreign peers. Afterwards, the participants of the environmental charity cycling marathon, which took place all over the country, were solemnly welcomed at the final finish line.

 

At the end, participants visited the"graveyard of Ships". In fact, "It is unbelievable that there was a sea here in the past." At the end of the day, the participants visited the amphitheater in the center of Muynak region to attend the award ceremony of the participants of the environmental charity cycling marathon. 

June 5 is "World Environment Day". The participants took an active part in the international conference "The developing Aral Sea region in the eyes of the world community" dedicated to this day in Nukus. It should be noted that such practical measures are aimed at raising the ecological culture of the population, especially the younger generation. It is important to prevent and eliminate environmental problems. We are grateful to all the organizers.
