Meeting of representatives of the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers (Uzbekistan) and China Gezhouba Group International Engineering Co., Ltd and signing a memorandum of understanding
On June 9, 2021, an official meeting was held between the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers (TIIAME) and Mr. XIN ZONGYI, Deputy General Manager, China Gezhouba Group International Engineering Co., Ltd. and the large delegation led by Mr. GUO TIANYU, General Manager for Central Asia.
The delegation of TIIAME led by prof. Umurzakov U.P, the rector of the institute, chairman of the Higher Education Council of Uzbekistan. The purpose of the event was to discuss opportunities and prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation between the parties in the new development environment and to sign a memorandum of understanding for the next 5 years.
Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers (TIIAME) has a history of nearly 100 years, it is a leading and recognized academic and research institute in the state, and specializes in engineering (irrigation, water resources, environmental protection), environment, electrification and automation, agricultural mechanization, agricultural economics, management and marketing), land resources management and other areas.
China Gezhouba Group International Engineering Co., Ltd is a large international corporation. The company's scope of activities includes investment in construction (energy, transport, hydraulic engineering, utilities and other infrastructure), real estate, environmental protection, cement production, machinery and financing. As a result of negotiations between the parties, there was agreed to hold trainings and internships for students of TIIAME at the construction of a thermal power plant with a capacity of 1,500 MWt in Syrdarya region, the subsequent employment of TIIAME graduates in CGGC enterprises, as well as representatives of both parties. The meeting was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere. At the end of the meeting, the parties signed a memorandum of understanding for the next 5 years.
