A place where past and future intertwine
On November 16, 2019, students of group 408 of the Department of Irrigation and Reclamation, together with the group's curator and acting associate professor of the Department of Hydraulics and Hydro informatics Kudratjon Rakhimov, visited the State Museum of History of Uzbekistan. This place, which combines the past and the future, reflects the history of our country, starting from ancient times, the era of the Stone Age and the Bronze Ages to the present day. Students were especially interested in exhibits that tell us about the pages of the new history of Uzbekistan, covering the period of the XIX-XX centuries.
The museum’s exposition aims to show visitors the patterns and features of the historical development of Uzbekistan, the greatness of the country's history, through objects of material, artistic and spiritual culture: various tools, utensils, copper mirrors, jewelry and cosmetics. The exhibition was created based on world criteria of historical science, but taking into account the laws and characteristics of the history of Uzbekistan itself. The museum acts as a research institute, the largest repository of monuments of material and spiritual culture, and a center for the promotion of historical knowledge.
