Prospects and priorities for the development of mutually beneficial cooperation
Today at Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers with the participation of Professor O. Umurzakov, the rector of the Institute and Mahmudova F.Yu, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Israel has been held a practical meeting. During the meeting, the sides discussed prospects and priorities for the development of mutually beneficial cooperation between higher education, research and industry organizations, scientists and professionals of the two countries on topical issues, sustainable economic and social development of Uzbekistan and Israel.
The priority areas of mutually beneficial cooperation with the purpose of ensuring integration between higher education, research and production enterprises in the field have been identified as follows: "Development of water-saving and smart technologies in agriculture", "Development of technologies to improve the quality of natural and wastewater" and "Mechanization and automation of production processes in agriculture and water management." Initially, it was agreed to start with the organization of joint webinars, development of joint educational and research programs, as well as joint research projects and proposals. The parties are confident that they will have stable mutually beneficial cooperation between Uzbekistan and Israel.
