Visiting the museum

Tashkent Armed Forces Museum was founded back in 1965. Rich and extensive exhibition of the museum displays the history of the development of military art of the peoples of Central Asia and Uzbekistan, as well as the history of the Armed Forces of the modern period of the country. Students from the Faculty of Power of Agriculture and Water Resources of the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization visited the State Museum of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The museum also has a special exhibition "Martial Arts of the Timurid period" dedicated to the great military leader Amir Temur. There are maps of military campaigns, diagrams of military exercises, weapons, insignia and other exhibits of the Timurid period. There is also an exposition devoted to the participation of the people of Uzbekistan in World War II. The exhibition "Defense of Independent Uzbekistan" presents information on types of troops, everyday life of soldiers, their combat and military-political training. The building consists of 3 floors and expositions are divided into three military-historical periods.
