Students voted for a worthy candidate
"It is obvious the people who think about their future and feel responsible for the development of our country will be active in the election process," said Ismail Bukharov, chairman of polling station 515. The participation of international organizations and foreign observer missions is important in conducting elections in an open and transparent, democratic manner. The number of foreign and international observers in the elections held in Uzbekistan in recent years has been steadily increasing.
The fact that the students were getting ready to vote in the morning at dormitory No.3 showed that this year's election was unlike the previous ones. It is worth noting that 5-6 professors and teachers from our institute were sent to the regions as experts, trainers, and members of the monitoring group of the Central Election Commission. In addition, they are involved in several mahallas' polling stations in Mirzo Ulugbek district of the capital. Today, in all 10,760 polling stations in the country, citizens' assembly staff is assigned as observers. These observers will exercise public control over the observance of electoral law in all activities related to the preparation and conduct of elections, including voting and counting on election day. It is no exaggeration to say that the election process showed our students a new spirit and splendor, a new outlook for the new Uzbekistan.
