Changes in Entrance Exams of HEI
Amendments and supplements to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan on approval of Regulations on admission to higher educational institutions of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the order of moving, restoration and withdrawal of students from studying (no. 360, 27.04.2019) According to the additions, applicants studying Turkish as a foreign language will pass the exam on the multi-point system. Now no medical certificate is required for the application form 086-O.
The following are considered to be admitted to higher educational institutions on the basis of additional state grants:
- Alumni graduated from the international language school named after Iskhakkhan Ibrat in Turakurgan district of Namangan region with excellent marks on bachelor's degree in foreign languages and literature, philology and language education;
- one military unit, one young soldier, a commanding officer and a recommendation from the Primary Organization of the Youth Union of Uzbekistan.
Additionally, the documents submitted for correspondence education are accepted from 1 July to 30 July. Entrance examinations are held at least three subjects from August 16 to August 25. Written examinations are conducted in an encrypted form. The exams will be evaluated at a maximum of 189.0 points, which must be collected in three subjects that correspond to the Bachelor's Degree, depending on the place of each subject, between 0 and 100 percent of the highest point . The results will be published on the official website of the educational institution for 1-3 days after the exam.
At the entrance to the master's degree, the following ones were canceled:
- Conversation with selected specialty questions for the purpose of determining the abilities and interests of the graduate students in scientific and scientific-pedagogical activities;
- "Computer Science and Information Technology" subject tests;
- Testing the theory and practice of building a democratic society in Uzbekistan.
Applicants applying for a Master's degree will not participate in a foreign language test if they have at least 5.5 points at TOEFL minimum of 72 or IELTS. Earlier, these results were at least 58 in TOEFL and at least 5 in IELTS. The application for the restoration of the study in the spring semester will last from January 15 to January 25 every year. Previously, it was until 20 January of 20 December. Admission rates for higher education enrollment quotas are as follows:
- permanently residing in a certain area (according to the passport information);
- Have relevant documents on general secondary (based on grades 10-11), secondary special, vocational education;
- Entrance examinations (tests, professional examinations and written exams).
