The prestigious 1st International Online Scientific and Practical Conference starts
On March 2-3 Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers organized the 1st International Online Scientific-Practical Conference “The Role of Women in the Development of Science in Renewing Uzbekistan: Gender Equality”.
Heads of ministries and departments of the Republic of Uzbekistan, General Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan, British Council, Ural Federal Esbatini University, University of South Africa, Kyrgyzstan Republic, Osh Humanitarian Pedagogical Institute, Slovenian Institute of Higher Education, Oxford University, United Nations Development Program, Leibniz Agricultural Landscape Research Center, Major Global Association, Australia, Central Asia Bureau for Sustainable Innovation, Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers, Ministry of Community and Family Support, Family and Neighborhood Research Institute, the international portal of scientific journals "Tadqiqot.uz" took part in the conference. The conference has been held on the ZOOM platform in Uzbek, Russian and English.
The conference is dedicated to the experience and achievements of women scientists in the field of education and science in the country and abroad, exchange of views on scientific traditions, wide involvement of women and young girls in scientific and innovative activities, expanding the scope of work to support women and their cultural and educational development; and to arise their prestige in political and economic affairs. Our country has adopted 24 normative documents until the present, 2 of which are on gender equality and protection of women from violence and oppression, which also reflects the humanistic nature of the issue. The conference addresses the following issues:
Involvement of women scientists in ensuring the effectiveness of science, technology and innovation, innovations, spiritual and educational reforms in Renewing Uzbekistan, conditions for women to strengthen their capacity in modernizing the education system, involvement of women in self-government bodies in the field of state and public administration and the economy, as well as in cooperation with the University-Family-Neighborhood, the current challenges of enhancing the intellectual potential of women in the context of globalization, preventing domestic violence, and ensuring gender equality and improving the social living conditions of women were the main tasks and objectives.
At the first part of the conference, the Chairman of the Republican Council for Higher Education, Rector of TIIAME- Professor Umurzakov Uktam Pardayevich, Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, Chairman of the Republican Gender Commission, Doctor of Sociology, Professor Tanzila Narbayeva, Deputy General Prosecutor Svetlana Artikova , Minister of Water Resources of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Khamraev, Deputy Minister of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan Uzokboy Begimkulov, Founder of the "Women's Leadership" Project Guli Hanum Sheikh of Oxford University, UNDP Resident Representative Doina Munteanu, British Council Director Rachel Island, Esbatini University Lecturer (Mbabane, South Africa) and Mandana Arfa attended with their introductory remarks.
Then in six sections: Valentina Ovchinnikova's "Women's road in engineering", Aynisa Musurmanova's "Participation of women scientists in ensuring the effectiveness of science, technology and innovation", Rakhbar Murtazaeva's "Women's role in science in a renewed Uzbekistan" Jamila Shermukhammedova's "Issues of Gender Equality in Uzbekistan: Problems and Solutions", Dilfuza Egamberdieva's "Women's role in creating conditions for modernization of the education system, realization of abilities and opportunities" Joe Cheffer's Feminized Leadership in Higher Education:
There were given lectures on methods of balancing the structural and systematic inequality of the Academy ", Katja Žibert Kamšek's "Women have a role to play in modernizing the education system, conditions for the realization of abilities and opportunities", Vera Chudakova's "The role of women in the development of science and gender equality", Barno Abdulakhamidova's "The role of women in the formation of valeological education" , Zukhra Ismailova's "The role of women working in higher education institutions in the development of education." As a bird can fly with two wings, so both men and women should be as twins in social life. The same atmosphere remained at the scientific-theoretical conference.
