Innovation and Investment - Ambassador of Development
On February 7, 2020, the Innovationқ and Research Cluster hosted a meeting with the participation of the rector of the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers (TIIAME), Professor Uktam Umurzakov, Senator Nurmukhamed Achilov, Deputy Minister of Innovative Development Azimjon Nazarov, Deputy director of the Institute of the Central Asian Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) Institute, Dr. Iskandar Abdullaev, and students of TIIAME representing the Bukhara region.
The rector of TIIAME Uktam Umurzakov opened the meeting with opening remarks and gratitude to the initiators of this meeting. After that, Senator Nurmukhamed Achilov, told about the goals and expectations of the meeting and how he plans to involve students in socio-economic development activities in the Bukhara region. Further, the Head of the Innovations and Scientific Research Cluster, Shakhboz Akhmedov, introduced the work done over the past еar and shared his thoughts on cooperation with young people in Bukhara through the cluster. During the meeting, rector Uktam Umurzakov made proposals for cooperation with the youth of the Bukhara region in order to promote innovation and scientific exchange and their contribution to the country's reforms. Senator Nurmukhamed Achilov, in his turn, supporting the proposals, said that he is ready to assist young people with their involvement in scientific activities in the development of textile clusters in the Alat district, in providing jobs and attracting them to the socio-economic development of the district.
Similarly, Dr. Iskandar Abdullaev, Deputy Director of the CAREC Institute, and Azimjon Nazarov, Deputy Minister of Innovative Development, expressed their readiness to provide comprehensive support for the launch of this initiative. Dr. Iskandar Abdullaev, as a representative of a foreign organization, suggested bringing international experience and best practices, while Azimjon Nazarov called this step another initiative that brings public-private partnerships to a higher level in our country. During the meeting, students received answers to all their questions. At the end of the meeting, the authors of the VIOM project, participants of the cluster accelerator, presented the goals and objectives of their projects, and it was decided to involve young people from all regions of the country in the next meetings.
