Towards new triumphs
On 9 February 2021, the Ministry of Innovative Development hosted the awards ceremony for the winners of the "Top 20 Start-ups 2020" competition and the winners of the "Best Projects" competition at the World Innovation Youth Forum (WIF). The meeting was attended by the winners of the competition, young scientists and members of the Youth Academy.
Speaking at the event, Minister of Innovative Development Ibrohim Abdurahmonov noted that one of the most important factors in the current 'Year of Youth Support and Health Promotion' is the quality of youth education, attracting them to science and directing them to entrepreneurship. It is therefore important to select and encourage young talent through transparent, open mechanisms. A group of talented students from the "Hydroleaders" circle of the Hydraulics and Hydroinformatics Department of the Faculty of Hydromelioration took part in the "Top 20 Start-Up Projects 2020" competition. Samiyev Lukmon Naimovich together with young inventor Elmurodov Mukhriddin took part in the competition "20 best start-ups 2020" and won 50 000 000 sum.
Also members of the "Hydroleaders" circle, Tursunkulov Avazbek Odiljon ugly and Mamatov Valijon Ikromjon ugly, won 1st place in the "Best Projects" competition held as part of the International Youth Innovation Forum. They were awarded a cash prize of 30,000,000 sums.
