The importance of the glaciers in the assessment of climate change

Most Central Asian rivers are filled with snow and ice water. The minor changes in glaciers today have a direct impact on the ongoing shortage of water in a future. That is why in recent years, an interest in the study of long-term snow and glaciers are growing. 
On August 26, 2018, Assistant of the Department of Hydrology and Hydrogeology S.Kadyrov participated in the Glacial Mass Balance, the Swiss CICADA Summer School in the Issyk-Kul region of the Kyrgyz Republic on. The main purpose of the Summer School was to assess the glacial mass balance. In this regard, on October 5, a meeting with the students of the 6th floor at the 3rd dormitory of the Institute was held. 
Assistant of "Hydrology and Hydrogeology" department S.Kadyrov exchanged views on the topic of "The importance of glaciers in climate change".
The event was very interesting and debated. The students were happy to answer all the questions they were interested in.
