CASCADE 2020-the first international conference in TIIAME
On December 10-11th Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers hosted an international scientific online conference dedicated to the 10th anniversary of Central Asia and South Caucasus Consortium of Agricultural Universities for Development (CASCADE). The main goal of this consortium is to improve research and innovation in agricultural and water management universities in Central Asia and South Caucasus, as well as to create science-based innovative ideas for sustainable development of agriculture.

Since its establishment, consortium combines inter-university integration in science, education and innovation, bringing together more than 15 higher education institutions from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. Today the first online conference CASCADE 2020 - "Central Asia and South Caucasus Consortium of Agricultural Universities for Development", dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the consortium took place at Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers. The opening of the event attracted scientists, professors, teachers, doctoral students from more than 20 countries (Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan, China, Costa Rica, Georgia, Ghana, India, Italy, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, South Korea, USA, Portugal, France, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan).

At the opening ceremony of the first international scientific-practical online conference heads of ministries and departments of partner countries, international partner associations (GCHERA, APLU-USA, ICA-EU, SAERIA-China and CASCADE), international organizations (GIZ, FAO, ICARDA, CAREC, IFAS, etc.) as well as rectors and representatives of leading universities such as: Minister of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan, First Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Tajikistan, Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Food Industry and Land Reclamation of the Kyrgyzstan, Deputy Minister of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Head of the International Cooperation Department of the Turkmen Ministry of Public Education, Leaders of the National Agrarian Research and Education Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan took the floor, emphasized current issues in the sphere and their solutions through a joint scientific council. According to the results of the nominations "Leading Scientist according to International Criteria", "Leading scientist who has made a significant contribution to the region”, “The most active Teacher", “The most active student" the most deserving candidates has been awarded with diplomas and valuable prizes.
