A seminar on "Gender Equality" was held on May 22 at the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers. G. Khudaiberdieva, Associate Professor of the Department of Humanities, spoke at the meeting. In her report, G.Khudayberdieva stressed the importance of gender equality in the world, which is reflected in the documents adopted by the UN, in particular, in Resolution No. 70 of 2015, UN Global Day. In order to organize systematic work on the consistent implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals, the country has adopted the "National Goals and Objectives of Uzbekistan in the Field of Sustainable Development until 2030." She spoke in detail about the 5th goal of sustainable development of Uzbekistan until 2030 - "Ensuring gender equality and empowerment of all women."

The concept of "gender" is defined. According to her, gender is a social aspect of the relationship between women and men that is reflected in all spheres of life and activity of society, including politics, economics, law, ideology and culture, education, science. It was noted that Gender is the concept of social gender and recognizes their equality. Gender is a set of relations between women and men, and it is reflected in all stages of the development process: family, society, education, politics. Gender refers to the biological difference between a woman and a man. Today, in order to ensure gender equality, homosexuality ruling should not exceed 60% in governance. Prof. Ismailova Z.K, Associate Professor Mukumova D. and R. Kadyrova commented on this. All our women took an active part and got the information they needed.

In conclusion, today the issue of gender equality has risen to the level of public policy. This is one of the most important steps in the field of human rights in our country. The new law is a clear proof of this and a historic document that will contribute to the socio-political and socio-economic development of our country in the future. It is no secret that such virtual events, which are held regularly at our institute every week, increase the activity of the teaching staff.
