High-level inter-regional online conference
It is an honor to be a leading higher education institution, which requires a strong scientific and pedagogical team, a well-structured education system with high experience and traditions. This spirit prevailed at the interregional online conference of rectors of leading Uzbek-Russian higher education institutions.
On May 27, 2020 at the initiative of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Republican Council of Higher Education and the Council of Rectors of Russia and the Moscow State University named after M.V.Lomonosov "Uzbek-Russian leading higher education Interregional online conference of rectors of institutions. The conference will serve as an important stage in the preparations for the second Uzbek-Russian educational forum, which is included in the program of the Summit of Presidents of Uzbekistan and Russia, scheduled for 2020 in Moscow. The interregional online conference was attended by high-ranking government officials of the two countries and rectors of more than 120 prestigious higher education institutions.
In particular, Adviser to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdujabbor ABDUVAKHITOV, Head of the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir CHERNOV, Minister of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan Inomjon MAJIDOV, Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Valery FALKOV address the conference participants with introductory remarks. Chairman of the Council of Higher Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Rector of the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers U.UMURZAKOV and Chairman of the Council of Rectors of Russia, Rector of the Moscow State University named after M. Lomonosov V.SADOVNICHIY addressed the plenary session .
As part of the conference program, the rectors of the universities of the two countries discussed current issues and tasks in a direct and open dialogue, as well as developing cooperation. The participants of the interregional online conference of rectors of Russian and Uzbek universities came to the following final decision. They stressed the importance of further implementation of the decisions of the First Russian-Uzbek Education Forum, strengthening cooperation in education, science, technology and culture, development of joint programs, training of specialists and highly qualified personnel, scientific cooperation between the two countries. Given the desire to develop cooperation between the communities, it is necessary to carry out these tasks, emphasizing that Russian is the language of interethnic communication and an important tool of scientific and educational partnership between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Uzbekistan.
1. Interest in the consistent development of cooperation in the training of highly qualified personnel;
2. Collaborative teaching in the most important areas of education, joint scientific and innovative research, professional development of teachers, training of scientific and scientific-pedagogical staff, the quality of education in the interests of human capital development and more support for the implementation of inter-university projects on joint projects to increase accessibility;
3. In the field of education, science and innovation: assistance in the practical implementation of promising formats of cooperation in scientific and technological training centers, joint faculties;
4. Facilitate the further opening and full operation of branches of Russian universities in Uzbekistan;
5. Expansion of bilateral educational projects with the help of distance technologies;
6. Development of projects and activities aimed at strengthening dialogue between young people between Russia and Uzbekistan;
7. Support the holding of the Second Russia-Uzbekistan Education Forum in Moscow in 2020 with the participation of the Presidents of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Uzbekistan within the framework of the Interregional Cooperation Forum;
8. It is natural that cooperation should be permanent and stable if the important factors of comprehensive development are based on mutual interests of the countries, based on the national, scientific, economic and political situation of each country.
