Dedicated to International Girls' Day

International Day of the Girl Child was established by the UN General Assembly on December 19, 2011. Celebrated annually on October 11 to highlight the discrimination and social problems facing girls around the world. The main ones are forced marriage, lack of access to education and health care, and violence. In 2011, the Canadian Minister of Women's Affairs Ronalie Ambrose proposed the idea of ​​the holiday during the UN General Assembly. The resolution on the International Day of the Girls was adopted in December 2011, and on October 11, 2012, the first celebration took place.

At the initiative of the Women's Council of the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers, a women's forum was organized on the occasion of the International Day of the Girls. It took place on October 11, 2020, at 16:00 on the ZOOM platform. It was attended by all women teachers, employees, deputy deans of faculties for youth affairs, chairmen of the council of curators of faculties, girl students of faculties.


The main goal of the festival is to increase the interest of girls in education, reading, social and political activities, to expand the ranks of talented girls, the culture of speech communication and culture of behavior, to form an active attitude to today's reforms, to promote a healthy lifestyle and prepare for family life. The moderator spoke about the importance of the event. The opening speech was made by the rector of TIIAME, professor Umurzakov Uktam Pardaevich. The rector commented on the reforms carried out under the leadership of the President on the benefits and opportunities for women, gender equality, including the plans and achievements of the institute.

 



Then a video was shown on the topic "The role of women in society." The chairman of the women's council of the institute, professor Ismailova Zukhra Karabaevna, made a presentation on the topic "Culture of clothing and culture of behavior". An interesting dialogue was held by a member of the Creative Association of the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan, Rajapova Zukhra Tirkashovna, on the topic "Methods of developing students' creative abilities in design circles."
